Prayer Ministry
Wednesday Night Online Prayer 7:30pm on Zoom – call for details
It was during the difficult time of hurricane Sandy that Denise and I developed a close friendship with Pastor Raul and his wife Mary. During our weekly Friday night Bible fellowship, we talked about planting a church in a much-needed area hit hardest by hurricane Sandy and a facility was secured to start meeting in Keansburg. We soon made Calvary Community Church our home church and I have been blessed with many close friends. We truly feel that our church is a tightly knit family of like-minded believers.
I love to read especially Classic Christian books. I deeply admire the Puritan Father’s. They influence me deeply. I love to read about them and the example they left for us. I have a passion for the church of our Lord Jesus Christ. I desire to see the church in America refreshed and renewed in it focus. I believe that the church’s mission is to worship the Lord, lead the lost to Christ and challenge and nourish believers in their walk of faith.
Pray without ceasing! (1 Thessalonians 5:17)

Anytime… anywhere
Prayer (Intimacy with the Father) is a discipline that God likes His children to utilize
- Prayer opens effectual witnessing doors (Colossians 4:3)
- Reveals mysteries (Jeremiah 33:3)
- Empowers believers (Acts 4:31)
- Delivers from distress and affliction (Psalm 107: 28) (Philippians 1:19)
- Breaks chains/sends angels (Acts 12)
- Heals (James 5:16)
- Brings peace (Philippians 4:6-7)
- Blesses, enlarges and brings provision (I Chronicles 4:10) (Matthew 7:7, 21:22) (John 14:13-14)
- Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. (James 5:13)
- The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much. (James 5:16b)
- Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God and the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7)

— Humility before God
God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline. (2 Tim 1:79) Be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. (Eph 6:1) He gives strength to the weary, and to him who lacks might He increases power. (Isa 40:29) The kingdom of God does not consist in words but in power. (1 Cor 4:20)
— Dependence upon God
“I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5) “He must increase, but I must decrease. (John 3:30) “It is the LORD; let Him do what seems good to Him.”(1 Sam 3:18) “I AM has sent me to you.” (Ex 3:14)
— Availability for God
By the mercies of God, present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. (Romans 12:1) The eyes of the LORD move to and fro throughout the earth that He may strongly support those whose heart is completely His. (2 Chronicles 16:9a)
— Obedience to God
One who looks intently at the perfect law, the law of liberty, and abides by it, not having become a forgetful hearer but an effectual doer, this man will be blessed in what he does.(James 1:25) We must obey God rather than men. (Acts 5:29) Take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. (2 Cor 10:5b)
— Standing in God
Be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord. (1 Cor 15:58) Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. (Eph 6:11) Be on the alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. (1 Cor 16:13)
— Power through God
God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline. (2 Tim 1:79) Be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. (Eph 6:1) He gives strength to the weary, and to him who lacks might He increases power. (Isa 40:29) The kingdom of God does not consist in words but in power. (1 Cor 4:20)
— Victory by God
Whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world – our faith. (1 John 5:4) The horse is prepared for the day of battle, but victory belongs to the LORD. (Prov 21:31) Thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Cor 15:57)
